Track Reopening
We have today received approval of our Covid-19 Return to Sport Plan from the Launceston City Council. Please familiarise yourself with this plan, especially the Coaches, Participant and Parent Protocols. Which is available here.
The track will be open from Saturday 4 July at 8am.
Toilets, change rooms and the gym remain closed. All NTA equipment including hurdles, high jump, pole vault, jump pits, and throws equipment will not be available for use.
Please find attached an example of a Coaches attendance register. An attendance register needs to be completed for each and every training session and forwarded to this email or text to Trish on 0409 857 967 each week. This is a requirement so that we can contact you should there be a confirmed case of Coronavirus.
Any breaches of these guidelines will result in fobs being de-activated, or at worst, the track being closed
AGM
The Northern Tasmanian Athletics Inc AGM will be held at the Northern Athletic Centre on Tuesday 23rd June at 6:30pm.
Nominations for positions close on Thursday 18th June
AGM General Business items close on Friday 19th June
We request anyone who is unwell on the night to not attend.

Track Closure
We have been advised by the Launceston City Council that Northern Tasmanian Athletics are required to complete a Covid Safe Workplace Plan and submit this to Community Sport and Recreation for approval. After this has been approved by them it will be returned to the Council and then council will attend the Athletic Centre and put all the signage up that is required.
Until this process has been completed the Athletic Centre will be closed from Friday 22nd May 2020 until further notice. This will mean that all fobs will be de-activated from 11.59pm on this day.
We also have been advised that Worksafe Tasmania are doing spot checks of all Council venues and if anyone is found on site before this process is completed that there will be serious consequences not only for the individual or individual’s but also the organisation.
We are in the process of completing the Plan for submission and hopefully the Centre will not be closed for too long.
We thank you all for your patience in this very different time but this closure has to happen for the health and safety of us all.
We will keep you all updated on the progress.

President
Northern Tasmanian Athletics.
